this has all the big moments in UConn history, the 75ft shot by DT, DT's shot to send it into OT... Annie's stop and go behind the back, Lawson trying to claw her way back to make an impact, Maria's big 3 in OT.
I really really really enjoyed this game

Great choice!

This game was Maria's first start after replacing Nicole Wolff, whose wonderful potential was shut down by repetitive injuries.

After the game, when asked if That Shot (65' at halftime) was from a favorite spot, Diana was ready. She said, "Yeah - but at the other basket!" :)

That was a good game, but for pure excitement, it is hard to beat the game three years earlier in Storrs that Tennessee won on the Semeka Randall basket with four seconds remaining. Talk about back and forth with big time players stepping up. I also liked the LSU game in 2008.

In terms of drama, it doesn't get much better than this one. Sloppy game in some respects, but each team does make its runs from which the opponent finds ways to overcome. However, UConn struck last. Tennessee tried to do the same but missed at the end of OT...

I have to agree; a good game IMO, but not the greatest. We must have made 20 ugly passes and a few missed chippies as well. A lot of young player mistakes. But our defense was great; how many times did we take them to the end of the shot clock!
The closeness and the drama and the opponent made the game look better than it was.
