A few obvious answers are outweighed by so many more questions. First, it's clear our friend Pascal has absolutely no friends and certainly no woman. That being the case, probably everyone would think to replace their passenger seat with a good old Jotul stove to keep them warm company. The big questions are; HTF did the "Swiss technical inspection authority" approve the wood burning stove within 2 meters of the petrol tank? Was the approving Swiss technical inspector Pascal's ex-father-in-law? And did Pascal pay more than 5 francs for his haircut?
Citing debilitating smoke inhalation, next an article will report Pascal filed a legitimate disability claim.
As nutty (& humorous) as it looks, I do love the independent spirit. It's actually very American. And if you study history, a whole LOT of people that are highly creative and made revolutionary advances (in art, technology, science, etc)... are pretty damn nutty in other aspects of their lives. As to the gas tank... the catalytic converter (on all cars) is probably a whole lot hotter & potentially "dangerous." I'd be more concerned with errant sparks. What's surprising is that the government doesn't have some kind of carbon footprint mandate to outlaw this. Many states here, especially ones like VT, CA, WA, & ORE are already starting to ban all sorts of fire & burning, including house fireplaces.
