Aresco sold them the name. They didn't want to buy the lease apparently. Check that. They did buy the lease to MSG...The Big East got to keep the name but the American got stuck with the lease. How the heck did that happen?

@BCgenius: Spies say @American_Conf moving its offices to Dallas by 2016 #NCAATournament #ncaaW
After watching this leadership so far, they probably squandered it all shelling out for those child dancers during the tourney.
I hope we aren't the only people that found that really weird and disturbing
Your point is?Key to remember is UCONN has been in the same athletic conference since 1979. Over 35 years. The name has changed and rights were sold, but UCONN has remained.
It's time to be like Rutgers fans and say we're going to the B1G. The writing is freaking graffitied all over the wall. They are programming B1G fans for our addition by placing an office in NYC and propaganda.

That mom with the white pants thoughYeah. Child dancers at a basketball tournament I think is one of those things that is universally disturbing.
That's always the end-game that made the most sense from the B1G's perspective. Surround NYC and DC. Then you have a little reach into Boston, you have NYC-Philly-DC-Chicago-Detroit.Remember this post:

Re: Source close to Tyler Phommachanh says UConn and Virginia to Big 10
Source says it's done.
(Tyler Phommachanh is Tim Pernetti who was the Rutgers AD at the time.)

That is the 1, 3, 4, 8, 11 with some push into the 7 media market.
Whether UVa is into it or not, who knows. VT can get that too.
I am (perhaps naively) convinced that UConn and one of the Virginia schools will be in the B1G at some point. It just makes too much sense for the B1G.
