    Hurley's HOF Case

The basketball HoF seems like the broadest set of criteria that would allow someone to be inducted. If you factor in his playing career, HS coaching career, then of course college, I think he's in.

    Bad media takes

I think by and large the quality of teams and talent is less than it has been in the past. UConn was also just that good - which is why we went 37-3 and blew everyone out.

    Hurley on WWE Raw

Possible Boneyard thread of the year material here. Let's keep it going, folks.

How worth it is storrs central?

How much do you think that's realistically worth to an advertiser - to sponsor content on a site with 700 subscribers? To me, the school really should have organized all efforts under one banner, as opposed to Storrs Central, D'Amelio's group, and Bleeding Blue for Good. Cut down on a lot of...

How worth it is storrs central?

My point is that the majority of people subscribing are just footing the opex bill. It's almost as if some people are more effective at this than others when it comes to soliciting donations.

How worth it is storrs central?

I don't understand how the money makes sense. You have to pay the guy who comes on here (who's been at UConn all of half a year) imploring us to donate to UConn as a moral obligation, and then you need to pay the staff writers at least on a per article basis, then just the maintenance of the...

    NCAA Revenue Sharing Update

There going to need to axe a ton of sports up in Storrs eventually if this passes. Incredibly bizarre how much we've invested in sports that don't ever stand a chance to make the school real money (hockey, baseball, soccer) but let FBS football languish.

    Aidan Mahaney

I wouldn't really categorize it that way. Castle showed he could be a more than capable scorer at all 3 levels, where as Jackson's shot and inability to really create for himself will always hold him back.

    Aidan Mahaney

Castle was probably the most dominant lock down perimeter defender in the country. Sure, it helps being part of a great defensive unit but he absolutely ate the competition for lunch particularly in March.

How long of a walk from Stores to Boston so Mulvaney can get authentic Irish cuisine? Could be a deciding factor (imo).

Where can we talk about Merch?

Tried finding that online but no luck so far. If anyone does, share a link! There was also a 47 brand 6x champ hat on the 47 website but not available as as item to purchase.

UConn and Texas finalizing a H/H Agreement

Games on campus are great for the sport. Nice get.

    Steph Castle declares

Admittedly, I don't watch any NBA, but I don't see how he won't be an All Star in the league. What a player.

    Reality vs fear

UConn can survive in some form I imagine as long as the players are paid via NIL. If the schools can begin to pay the kids directly, it's hard to see how we could offer competitive packages when so far outpaced in tv money from the p4 football leagues.

One notch I want for UConn

The one game I usually get to is at Seton Hall. I'd like to not lose at Seton Hall this year.

    Transfer portal getting nuts

Sure. I don't really have a dog in the fight. Just commenting that it's far more semi pro than pure amateurism.

    Transfer portal getting nuts

I'm not advocating for anything - just making the point that for all intents and purposes "college" basketball is already a semi pro league. When guys are out there cashing $1M checks and 30% of the sport is transferring every year, you really think people are holding onto some illusion that...

    Transfer portal getting nuts

I think the point is, as long as the laundry says Connecticut and there's a basketball on the court people will watch regardless if the athletes are "student-athletes" or not.

    Transfer portal getting nuts

That's exactly what it is - just because you don't want to see it that way doesn't mean it isn't true.

Am I alone? Is my wife right?

DVR is/was a relationship panacea for me. Wife doesn't care about UConn hoop in the slightest - just accepts it's my thing. I will say, it's kind of funny a lot of people have been "congratulating" me on the title the last week or so, and she likes to jokingly say, 'they know you're not on the...

    Number 6.. just wow

Something that feels unique to UConn (someone correct me if I'm wrong) is when KO won he was holding up 4 fingers, Dan won last year everyone holds up 5, and this year everyone throws up 6...when Duke, UNC, Kentucky, won they don't do that. The UConn hoop culture and brotherhood is real. We're...

Awkward feeling of being historic prohibitive favorite.

This fanbase somehow combines the most obnoxious fans on earth (tied with Syracuse) with the most woe is me little engine that could guys too. We've won 5 national titles in 24 years, who in the world thinks that the underdog label fits at all for us?

UCONN Doesn’t Have a Plane to Get to Phoenix (Merged Thread)

Nobody is saying the weather caused the initial delay numbnuts. The point is that things like mechanical delays can happen and when there is a major storm front incoming it's probably best to avoid it all together.

UCONN Doesn’t Have a Plane to Get to Phoenix (Merged Thread)

Why were Purdue and Alabama teams there Tuesday and the team with the longest flight that had weather issues know well in advanced schedules to leave Thursday night? No offense, because the same applies to me, but having a contingency to land a day earlier for a meaningless business trip or...

    UConn Twitter is so dumb

UConn twitter needs some new material that isn't just hurr durr (insert state) is a bunch of poor people and/or the same incest joke over and over and over again. Pretty embarrassing.

Based on some of the layup attempts I saw last night, I wouldn't say that's a given lol.
