OT: The Original Song: It's The Best

    My favorite

Who were your childhood bball heroes?

Johnny Egan from Weaver to Providence. He was before Wes Bialousuknia and Toby Kimball.

    Ice Brady's Freshman Year

Ice may have a better shooting (especially long shots) stroke now, but if she becomes the rebounder, shotblocker, and defender that Tina was, I’ll be thrilled. I felt that Tina played out of position for us (by necessity). She’s a true 4.

    Aidan Mahaney

We went to 9 just 2 years ago. No reason to keep good players on the bench. The key is no dropoff in production.

    Ice Brady's Freshman Year

To be fair, Tina Charles wasn’t great at finishing for a while. It often took 2 shots to score, and she got a lot of her own shot rebounds. That’s what frustrated Geno.

    Ice Brady's Freshman Year

Brady went from watching to contributing by the BE tourney. She filled in for our All-American post player nicely. She looked a little overwhelmed against some of the tournament teams, but I think she’ll make a nice jump for next year. I also think Geno has a potential gem in Jana. If she plays...

UConn Football 2024 Spring FanFest (April 21st @ Morrone Stadium)

Any reports on any others? Sammis seems to like Buckman.

Talk to me about replacing windows...

Do you know any home insurance adjusters? A friend gave me the guy he frequently used, and they did a good job. Harvey windows, the double hung, double pane with lattice in the middle for a colonial look, plus 1 casement window. I seem to remember about 14-15 windows for less than $11k.

    Ice Brady's Freshman Year

Seriously? Ever watch Kerry Bascom, Kara Wolters? The triplets, Cash, Jones, and Williams? Jess Moore? Tina Charles, Stef Dolson? Our rosters have had many great post players, and Geno would be the first to tell you we would have no where without Edwards this year. His problem was that he didn’t...

    Who Is This?

    We’ll expect no less.

The Next Tiger, Or Scottie, Or Rory....

Yeah, he overcooked that shot, but I liked the choice of trying to get it close there instead of leaving it right of the green.

The Next Tiger, Or Scottie, Or Rory....

Watch out for Aberg. Unlimited potential in my opinion.

    Catching up with Asjha Jones

She was the perfect example of how a 6’2” post could be the alpha.

    OT: NBA and "championship DNA"

Or you can just have Joker.

Why haven’t the Big 12-Big East Battle matchups been announced yet?

Didn’t it get cancelled with the new Big 12 additions?

    Reality vs fear

That’s part of the process. Figuring out how to accomplish your goals. If you just want to give up and say we can’t do it, that’s all you.

    Roumoglou Enters the Portal (Merged)

He hasn't lost one since he's been here. He wasn't even born for 99.

So, Every Starting Spot Is Open

    Wher e is Ross?

    Roumoglou Enters the Portal (Merged)

The question is, can we win an NC without him?

    Roumoglou Enters the Portal (Merged)

Wished he would have stayed. Seemed like a good teammate, and a very good shooter in the limited time we saw from him.

    Jim Mora: Something feels different

Why do we need to spend more on football? Will there be any rewards for it? We have 17 NCs in basketball since 1995, plus more in field hockey and soccer. Do you want to take away from them? It sure looks like we spend what a lot of others do, just not all.

    OT: Dickey Betts

I was at Watkins Glen, but I don’t remember any music over the medivac choppers.
  24. uconnfan68

    Steph Castle declares

    That’s the hope!
  25. uconnfan68

    Tarris Reed commits!

I honestly don’t remember 20-20 games from him in college.

    Reality vs fear

    It’s called setting goals.

    Reality vs fear

They won 3 consecutive women’s titles in the 70s.
  28. uconnfan68

    Reality vs fear

We weren’t even D1 until 2002 or 2003. We were doing ok until ESPN trashed the Big East.
  29. uconnfan68

    OT: Dickey Betts

“In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” was one of my favorites. Turned out that was the name on the headstone next to where he was fooling around in the cemetery. For the last 50+ years I thought it was someone very important in his life to write such a beautiful song about.

OT: You Like the Cover More Than the Original Song

Tom Rush did a nice version too.
  31. uconnfan68

    Reality vs fear

Historically bad? Not including actual winning seasons and bowl games we won?
  32. uconnfan68

    Samson Johnson Off Season

He started in place of Castle while Steph recovered. He was a true frosh and had some weaknesses, but the potential is there. Hoping for a big jump.
  33. uconnfan68

    AJ Storr to Kansas

They’ll miss Furphy who’s checking out his draft status. Wish he was in the portal.

Sanogo makes G League All-Rookie Team

Nice to see him dunking more. Can’t be cute in the league, although Jokic seems to get away with it.

What is the best individual, single-game performance in UConn history?

Oh the irony here... the biggest thing most remember from Donyell was missing free throws against Florida, not how good he was.
